  • About Sawubona: Journey to South Africa 2011

The Sawubona Project was Mount Madonna School's 2011 journey to South Africa.

The African word “Sawubona” means “I see you.” The juniors at Mount Madonna School chose this name to represent their trip to South Africa. For the students this unusual learning journey will be about seeing and gaining a new understanding of people in a part of the world that is far different from the one in which we live.
