About the Umbono Project

The Umbono Project is a project by incoming seniors from Mount Madonna School as part of the Values in World Thought Program. The students are currently on the learning journey to South Africa from June 14 until July 2, 2019.

Umbono means ‘perspective’.

In South Africa we will be visiting a number of amazing programs, schools, and organizations that help support communities and people.

Visit Tembisa Performing Arts

Tuesday June 25th:
Tembisa Performing Arts – Rehearsal

Wednesday June 26th:
Tembisa Performing Arts – Rehearsal and Performance for local Community

Thursday June 27th:
Apartheid Museum
Visit Soweto
Craft Markets

Friday June 28th:
Interview with Professor Piet Meiring in Pretoria
Travel to Pilanesberg National Park
