About the Drishtikon Project

The Drishtikon Project is a project by seniors from Mount Madonna School as part of the Values in World Thought Program. The students will experience their learning journey to India from February 16 through March 2, 2024.
Drishtikon means ‘perspective’ and embodies what we strive to experience on our adventure.

Delhi Tour: Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Bazaar, Market

Monday February 19:
Travel to Sri Ram Ashram, Haridwar

Tuesday February 20:
Visit Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar
Moti Bazaar
Sri Ram Ashram

Wednesday February 21:
Visit Sri Ram Vidya Mandir school
Ganga Walk
Sri Ram Ashram

Thursday February 22:
Day Trip to Dehradun: Aasraa Trust
Visit Araghar Government Primary School
Lunch time interview with Ms. Shaila Brijnath, Founder and Chair of Aasraa
Visit Waste Warriors and meet their senior staff

Friday February 23:
Day Trip to Rishikesh: Beatles Ashram, Meeting with Sadvhi Bagawati, Aarti at Parmarth Ashram, satsang, and dinner.

Saturday February 24:
Visit Gujjar village
Sri Ram Ashram Goodbye party!

Sunday February 25:
Visit Tibetan Children’s Home and School in Dehradun, Buddhist Monastery and Nunnery
Travel to Mussoorie

Monday February 26:
Day in Mussoorie Hill Town
Visit Tibetan Homes Foundation and School in Happy Valley
Mall Road Guided Tour

Cooking Class at the home of Shantum and Geeta
Meet/interview journalist Ranjona Banerji
Travel back to Sri Ram Ashram
