I’m writing a story this morning about the MMS 4th grade’s recent guest who spoke about her personal experiences during the American Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 60s….Listening to Martin’s question and Mr. Tethong’s response, I heard similarities in the approach to securing civil rights for the Tibetan people. The themes and quest are universal – a free people with the same civil rights as those living among them. A struggle throughout the world’s cultures for eons.
